Pre-Conference Workshops / Studio 10
Peter Reimer is an expert in Crystal Reports at Spire. This workshop will help partners adjust reports so that you can get the most out of Spire’s reporting tools. You can use the tips to make reports that meet the needs of your Spipre clients. Partners who attend will learn how to make Crystal Reports work better and change the layouts of reports that are already in Spire. If you want to learn how to make new reports from scratch, the workshop will teach you how to connect to Spire data, organize reports in a way that makes sense, and add advanced features for real-time insights.
A good foundation is the first step to a successful Spire implementation. Warren Flett will go over some practical steps for setting up and supporting Spire. This will help partners feel more confident when implementing Spire. Geared for newer Spire partners, we’ll go over the most important setup decisions for the system’s main parts, including the General Ledger structure, financial configuration, inventory setup, item management, and operational workflows. Newer partners will walk away with useful advice that makes the implementation better, cuts down on problems that could be avoided, and strengthens relationships with clients over time.
Pre-Conference Workshops / Studio 11
There are more ERP options than ever before, so prospects often look at more than one system before making a choice. We’ll look at how Spire stacks up against some of the most common alternatives, like Odoo, NetSuite, Blue Link ERP, Acumatica, and QuickBooks. Katie Griffin hosts an engaging workshop where we’ll talk about Spire’s strengths and weaknesses, as well as how to best position Spire during the sales process. This session will be about figuring out what kinds of companies are best for Spire, knowing when another solution might be better, and learning how to confidently lead prospects through those conversations. During the workshop, we’ll talk about and practice positioning strategies you can use when prospects bring up competing systems. By the end of the session, you will have a better idea of how to evaluate opportunities, respond to comparisons with competitors, and place Spire in the current ERP landscape.
This session is designed as a working think tank, not a traditional workshop. Led by Rick Notman and Al Romeyn, we’ll start by grounding ourselves in what the Spire API enables today—how it’s used, where it adds value, and how partners are currently leveraging it in real-world scenarios.
From there, we’ll expand the conversation into what becomes possible when AI is layered on top of that foundation. Instead of just talking about ideas, the session will look at real ways to use natural language, automation, and AI-driven workflows with the Spire API to improve how users work with the system.
The goal is to move beyond individual use cases and think more broadly about opportunity—new solutions, new services, and new ways to deliver value to clients.
This session is highly collaborative. Participants are encouraged to share what they’ve built, test ideas, and learn from one another through guided discussion and breakout think tank groups.
This session will help you connect the dots between the API’s current state and its future, whether you’re just starting to explore it or already using it.

Join us for a relaxed Welcome Reception on the beautiful Garden View Patio at White Oaks Resort & Spa. It’s the perfect way to kick off the event—great food, great conversations, and a welcoming atmosphere as we gather together to celebrate the Spire partner community. 🌿🍽️

The conference will kick off with a quick overview of what’s ahead. Attendees will receive key details on what to expect, helpful hotel information, and insider tips to maximize the conference experience.
Get ready to share the knowledge, because together we succeed!
Founding Partner and CEO Al Romeyn will officially launch the Spire Partner Conference of 2026.
What makes the Spire partner community so strong? It’s the people, the collaboration, and the shared success we build together. In this session, we will dedicate time to acknowledge the accomplishments and valuable contributions of our partners who consistently strive to elevate the standards across the channel. You’ll hear from some of our Super SIPs as they share insights from their experience in the field—what’s working, what’s changing, and where they’re seeing opportunity. We’ll also explore the bigger picture: the industries gaining momentum, the trends shaping our customers’ businesses, and where partners can focus to grow. Along the way, we’ll introduce a few new resources designed to support partners in building stronger relationships, expanding their reach, and creating even more success in the year ahead. Most importantly, this session is about the power of partnership—why the Spire channel continues to stand out, and why partners who invest in the community continue to thrive. Join Katie Griffin for a session that celebrates our partners, shares practical insight, and looks ahead to what’s next.
Significant developments can occur within a year, particularly in a product that continuously adapts to the businesses that depend on it. Warren Flett focuses on reflecting on Spire’s growth since our previous conference.
Spire has concentrated on enhancing capabilities, optimizing performance, and addressing the requirements communicated by partners. A significant number of the improvements presented today originated from discussions, support inquiries, or feature suggestions from the partner community and progressively evolved into the product.
The Partner Mini Think Tanks are back! This grou session is focused on small-group discussions where Spire Partners and Integration Partners can share their thoughts, compare their techniques, and talk honestly about what they’re experiencing with customers. The purpose is to share what works and learn from each other.
This session is not about presentations; it’s about peer insight—real-life experiences, useful solutions, and lessons learned in the field. It’s a chance to get away from the formal agenda and use the knowledge of the partner community as a whole.
If you’re looking for new ideas, practical tips you can implement immediately, and the opportunity to connect with others facing similar challenges, this is the ideal place for you.
This year’s breakout sessions are repeated throughout the day,
ensuring Spire Partners don’t miss any of the valuable information offered.

Inventory, Purchasing, Warehousing & Manufacturing Strategy for Spire Partners
This session focuses on building a strong Inventory, Purchasing, Warehousing, and Manufacturing strategy in Spire—designed to support real operational flow and long-term system stability.
We’ll cover key purchasing and inventory scenarios that often create complexity, including freight handling, purchase order corrections, and managing open or partially received POs. We’ll also explore how inventory behavior impacts costing, particularly in edge cases like negative inventory.
The goal is to help partners make better design decisions upfront—aligning operational processes with financial outcomes—so systems behave predictably and require less ongoing support.

GL Divisions & Segments, AP Allocations, Sales Taxes & Levies, Multi-Currency Strategy for Spire Partners
This session focuses on building a solid financial architecture in Spire, with emphasis on GL Divisions & Segments, AP Allocations, Sales Taxes & Levies, and Multi-Currency.
We’ll walk through how to structure the General Ledger to support both operational reporting and financial control—using segments (e.g., location, profit center) for flexible analysis, and divisions only where full financial separation is required.
The session will also cover how allocations, tax configuration, and currency handling impact financial accuracy, including how exchange revaluation and gain/loss postings behave in multi-currency environments.
The focus throughout is on designing financials that align with how the business actually operates—ensuring clean reporting, proper cost recognition, and reduced downstream correction and support effort.

Lessons from the Field
Software is rarely the cause of ERP deployment failures. They fail due to unrealistic timetables, insufficient governance, scope shortcuts, and a lack of discipline in data movement. We’ll discuss actual implementation “nightmares,” analyze what went wrong, and share useful lessons learned in this open partner session, particularly with regard to data migration, execution discipline, and project control.
This is about safeguarding the Spire brand, your initiatives, your profits, and your reputation.
Featuring SUPER SIP InfoTrac
Capabilities, Fit, and Opportunity
This session explores how Spire Web expands the way partners deliver and position Spire—covering Server Admin, Spire Web apps, and POS capabilities in a connected, browser-based environment.
We’ll walk through how Server Admin enables centralized, browser-based management of users, databases, and system configuration, making deployment and ongoing administration more flexible and accessible.
From there, we’ll look at how Spire Web and POS extend access to sales, inventory, and customer data from anywhere—supporting mobile teams, remote work, and new operational models.
The session will focus on where this tool creates real value: opening new opportunities in retail, field sales, and distributed operations, while also being clear about its strengths, limitations, and best-fit scenarios.
Ultimately, this is about helping partners position Spire Web effectively—understanding when it’s the right solution, how to align it to client needs, and how to use it to expand into new markets with confidence.

Spire Partner Conference Day 2
Grand Event Room
This session provides a high-level overview of Spire Web Reports, along with a look at where the platform is heading as it continues to evolve. We’ll explore how web-based reporting fits into the broader Spire ecosystem and the value it brings to both partners and clients.
The session will cover the report designer, including the fundamentals of report structure, basic customization, and the options available for managing and deploying reports system-wide. While slightly more technical in nature, the goal is to give partners a clear understanding of what’s involved—whether you plan to build reports yourself or simply want to better scope, support, or guide reporting projects.
You’ll leave with a stronger sense of the capabilities, the level of effort required, and where web reporting can play a meaningful role in your implementations.
This session takes a deeper, practical look at the evolution of the Spire platform—focused on core technical and architectural fundamentals and what’s changing with Spire 4.
Led as a live, interview-style discussion with Matt Kalina and James Emerton, this session is designed to be conversational and insight-driven, breaking down why the platform works the way it does—not just how. We’ll explore the key drivers behind Spire 4, what’s improved in the architecture, and what that means for partners in real-world implementations, upgrades, and long-term support.
We’ll also cover the role of Spire VA in standardizing deployments, and how it impacts performance, scalability, and overall system reliability. Throughout, the focus will be on helping partners understand how to position these changes—translating technical architecture into clear value for clients and prospects.

Fast, focused, and a little bit competitive.
This is your chance to hear directly from our conference exhibitors (SIPs) as they take the stage for a rapid-fire, 60-second pitch. No slides, no fluff—just one minute to clearly show how their solution helps Spire partners solve real client challenges and deliver more value.
Each exhibitor has a single shot to make it count. Why should you work with them? What problem do they solve best? And how do they complement Spire in your customer conversations?
Once the pitches are done, the room decides.
Partners will rate each presentation the only way that matters—by applause. The louder the response, the better the score.
The exhibitor with the biggest reaction earns more than bragging rights—they’ll take home the honour of drawing the winning name for a free pass to next year’s Spire Partner Conference.
Come ready to listen, learn, and make some noise.
